Simon Doyle
Head of Australian Fixed Income and Multi-Asset, Schroders

Simon is head of the Australian Fixed Income and Multi-Asset team. Simon oversees and is ultimately responsible for, the performance of all fixed income and multi-asset strategies managed by the Australian investment team, including Private Debt. Within Schroders multi-asset strategies, Simon is responsible for managing the investment process, setting the investment strategy including asset allocation decisions and managing overall portfolio risk. While Simon has established a team-based investment approach he has specific portfolio management responsibility for the Schroder Real Return Fund range, the Global Target Return Fund and the Schroder Strategic Growth Fund. Simon has over 30 years investment management experience, having started his career at AMP before moving to Schroders in 2003. Simon is regarded as one of the leading multi-asset investors globally and is widely recognised as an innovator and thought leader, particularly within the absolute return and objective based style of multi-asset investing.

Irene Goh
Head of Multi-Asset & Investment Solutions – Asia Pacific, abrdn

Irene Goh is the Head of Multi-Asset & Investment Solutions for Asia Pacific at abrdn. She is responsibility for designing and managing global multi-asset portfolios of clients in Asia Pacific, and represents the Group’s Multi-Asset investment capability in the region. A voting member of the Global Tactical Asset Allocation Investment Committee, Irene leads the development of the investment process and portfolio strategies relating to Asia Pacific and emerging markets. Her career experiences extended across a diverse spectrum of the investing community with sovereign wealth funds, global asset managers and private wealth capital owners. Irene joined the company in 2016 from AllianceBernstein where she held a similar role as Head of Multi-Asset Investments for Asia-Pacific and was also a member of the Multi-Asset Solutions Global Dynamic Asset Allocation portfolio management team. Prior to this, Irene served as the Head of Asia, Asset Allocation and Currency at UBS Global Asset Management where she is one of 6 voting members of the Global Asset Allocation Investment Committee. Having been a Senior Investment Manager of the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC), and Senior Vice President overseeing the portfolios of an Ultra High Net Worth family office, Irene has had experience managing multi-asset and multi-manager portfolios spanning traditional and alternative investments for more than 25 years. Her first career experience with JP Morgan in Singapore and New York saw an accelerated progress to Vice President of the firm with experience in derivative trading and structuring. Irene has had international experience having worked in Singapore, New York and Hong Kong. Currently an Advisor to the Insurance Asset Management Association of China (IAMAC) Open Market Investment Committee, and a non-executive Director of the Board at Heng An Standard Life Insurance Company in China, Irene graduated with a BA in Economics & Statistics (Top Student), BSc (Honors) in Economics, National University of Singapore. She is a CFA, CAIA and FRM charterholder, and is based in Hong Kong.

Deanne Baker
Portfolio Manager, Multi-Asset


Deanne joined Lonsec Investment Solutions Pty Ltd (LIS) as Portfolio Manager in early 2020 and is responsible for the management of Lonsec’s multi-asset & retirement portfolios. Deanne has been with the Lonsec Group since July 2007 and holds over 20 years’ experience in managed funds research and portfolio management. Prior to joining LIS, Deanne was Co-Head of Manager Research at Lonsec, responsible for the quality and suitability of Lonsec’s managed funds research and overseeing an award-winning team of analysts. Deanne is a member of the Lonsec Asset Allocation and Manager Selection Committees. Prior to joining Lonsec, Deanne spent seven years with Invesco (and its predecessor, County Investment Management) where she worked as an Investment Analyst and later, Assistant Investment Manager for multi-asset class and structured portfolios. Deanne has also previously held roles at Barclays Stockbrokers and Legal & General Investment Management in the UK.

Veronica Klaus
Head of Investment Consulting

Veronica joined Lonsec in October 2011 as a Senior Investment Consultant. Veronica as head of the consulting team provides advice and input into the model portfolio construction process, including fund research, selection and portfolio construction advice, as well as and asset allocation decisions. She is also responsible for maintaining relationships with key dealer group clients and providing them with tailored solutions. Prior to joining Lonsec Veronica was a Director of Investment Consulting at 358 Australia Pty Ltd and prior to that, she spent a number of years at CPG Research & Advisory as a Senior Consultant; Standard & Poor’s Investment Consulting Division; Manager Investments at State Super Financial Services and as a research analyst at Bridges Financial Services.

Darrell Clark
Deputy Director, Manager, Multi-Asset

Darrell joined Lonsec in January 2019 and is the Manager for the Multi-Asset sector. Prior to joining Lonsec, Darrell was the Head of Qualitative Analysis at Evergreen Consultants responsible for manager, market and economic research and assisting in building and monitoring Evergreen portfolios. Darrell also spent several years as a Senior Investment Analyst within the Advice Research team at BT Financial Group where he was responsible for manager research across a number of sectors. Darrell’s other work history includes client relationship roles at Skandia and Gartmore Investment Management (London).

John Burton
Head of Sales

John commenced his career as a financial adviser before moving into various practice mgmt. and leadership roles. He has also owned and operated financial planning, recruiting, and consulting businesses. John understands what it takes to sit in front of clients and deliver life changing advice. He is one of the industry’s leading authorities on client experience, engagement, and the value of advice.
