About the role

We are looking for a self-motivated and dynamic Business Development Manager to join either our Sydney or Melbourne location. Your objective will be to generate new business by leveraging existing client relationships and developing new ones, with a primary focus on superannuation funds. You will work closely with the SuperRatings and Lonsec teams to achieve new business growth.

Skills and experience

  • Work with the Executive Director, SuperRatings to execute on SuperRatings sales strategy;
  • Provide support to the Executive Director, SuperRatings including information gathering, organising and attending appointments, following up sales opportunities, creating and executing product sales campaigns;
  • Prospect new accounts, gather company information, seek out company decision makers, generate interest and determine the potential for the sale of SuperRatings (and Lonsec) products and services;
  • Meet and exceed personal sales targets to contribute to the achievement of the financial targets for SuperRatings;
  • Provide ongoing feedback to Executive Director, SuperRatings about strengths/weakness/opportunity/threats within current and proposed offerings;
  • Manage an engagement program with product providers to include regular business to business contact across appropriate channels;
  • Organise and attend appointments, follow up sales opportunities;
  • Create and execute product sales campaigns;
  • Coordinate internal resources to meet the sales goals;
  • Develop thorough and deep technical knowledge regarding the SuperRatings (and Lonsec Research) product offerings available to clients within the allocated portfolio of product responsibilities;
  • Liaise with the various Lonsec subsidiaries to pass on potential sales leads, key contacts and opportunities; and
  • Provide creative ideas for increasing sales and business relationships to grow the business.
