General Terms and Conditions for tickets and attendance at Lonsec Symposium 2024
By obtaining a ticket for Lonsec Symposium 2024 and/or seeking to attend the event, you agree to our General Terms and Conditions.
By purchasing a ticket on behalf of someone else or representing a company or entity, you undertake to inform them of these General Terms and Conditions and any other terms and conditions notified at the time of sale.
TICKETS
- The ticket is proof of purchase of the above event and must be presented at the time of admission.
- Refunds are not applicable for all tickets, however you may transfer your ticket to another individual. This applies to any ticket type (individual or group booking). It is your responsibility to organise the transfer by contacting the organiser events@lonsec.com.au Please be aware of providing the correct information – in terms of the transfer (the name of the person you wish to transfer, email, company, mobile number and dietary requirement). We will not be responsible for the missing information provided.
- In the case where one or more people in your group could no longer attend, we could not refund a partial amount.
- Tickets are not to be duplicated for the purpose of falsifying entry.
- The event organiser reserves the right to refuse entry.
- This ticket may be valid as a tax invoice or receipt in the case of registrations or other event payments.
- This ticket has been created and managed using the Eventbrite site and is also subject to the Terms and Conditions of Eventbrite.
- As the event organiser hosting this event, the Lonsec event team is solely responsible for all ticket related matters. If you have any questions regarding this event, please contact the Lonsec events team via email events@lonsec.com.au or call 1300 826 395 to speak directly.
SEATING
Each attendee
will be allocated to a table at the discretion of the Lonsec events team.
There is no allocated seating on each table. A table chart will be located in the foyer area of the Fullerton Ballroom for VIP and Reserved Seating only.
We do not guarantee you any particular seat or table allocation.
GROUP BOOKING
If you are part of a group booking of 10, you will be seated in one table.
MARKETING AND RECORDING
Lonsec event team reserves all rights to record, photograph and to produce video or any publication of this event for Lonsec’s marketing purpose and general practice.
Any data collected for marketing purposes from this event will be strictly in accordance with the Privacy of Information Act. We reserve the right to record, broadcast and/or telecast any part of the event at and you consent to the use of any image or recording taken of you, and anyone for whom you are responsible, while you take part of the Lonsec Symposium 2024. We are not obliged to use, broadcast or provide to you or any third party, company or entity any such recording, footage or any photograph generated from the event.
CHANGES
While we attempt to keep our attendees informed, the details may change sometimes with little or no notice. For example, speaker or other participants may be added, withdrawn or substituted or the venue may change. In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as weather, natural disasters, riots, strikes, etc the event might be delayed or moved to another date. Under the worst circumstance and the organiser must cancel the event, a refund of tickets will be made under the guidance of The Australian Consumer Law.
RSA
We strictly abide to the law guiding the responsible service of Alcohol at Fullerton Hotel. Any inappropriate behaviour as a result of irresponsible consumption of alcohol will be at the risk of attendee.
The Australian Consumer Law provides certain statutory assurances for consumers which cannot be excluded, for example that services will be provided with due care and skill. Nothing in these General Terms and Conditions modifies or excludes those guarantees. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, all representations, conditions and warranties express or implied are excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, Lonsec will not be liable for any loss or damage (including consequential loss or any cancellation costs) suffered or incurred by you in connection with the event. To the extent that Lonsec cannot exclude any liability and to the extent permitted by law, Lonsec’s liability and your sole remedy against Lonsec will be limited to the refund of the fee paid to Lonsec.
LIABILITY
Attendance in person
Lonsec may engage third party service providers to assist to deliver the Event, including venues, ground transport operators, accommodation providers, caterers, activity organisers, and other goods and services connected with the Event. You understand that Lonsec does not own, operate or control any of these third party service providers, accepts no liability for the provision of such services, and makes no warranty as to their quality and standard.
Personal Items
Lonsec is not responsible for your personal possessions such as bags, mobile phones and other items you carry with you at the event. It is your responsibility to keep your personal belongings safe and secure while you attend the event. If you lose an item, we advise you to contact the Fullerton Hotel Sydney venue team to locate your item.
Medical Condition
By entering the event or venue, and using the venue medical facilities, you consent (express or implied) to allow third parties to receive personal information from the medical service providers that has been obtained during treatment, during and/or after the event.
Lonsec will not be responsible or liable for any loss, damage or injury arising from your neglectful acts or oversights, any pre-existing medical condition, or your breach of these terms and conditions.
You should make your own further inquiries before deciding to attend the event.
Attendance of virtual symposium
If the event is delivered virtually, you acknowledge that Lonsec does not warrant or promise that the digital services will operate continuously or be fault free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lonsec excludes all liability any failure, interruption, fault or delay in any digital services and for all harm arising from such failure, to the extent that such failure, interruption, fault or delay is beyond our reasonable control.

I agree to attend and participate in the Event on the following additional terms:
- Attendance and participation in the Event is my choice, and I expressly assume any and all risks and responsibility (whether inherent or not, and whether listed or not) associated with the Event activities.
- To the extent permitted by law, Lonsec will not be held responsible for any property loss or damage to belongings, physical injury, exposure or illness (including but not limited to COVID-19), or death caused by or during my attendance and participation in the Event.
- To the extent permitted by law, I agree to release and indemnify Lonsec, its employees, agents and contractors from any and all claims incurred of any kind whatsoever in any way arising out of my registration for, and attendance and participation in, the Event.
- I will follow all rules and regulations, safety instructions (including all COVID safety plans or guidelines) and reasonable directions given by Lonsec, its staff and agents, representatives and any third party service providers to ensure the safety of myself and other participants during the Event
- I understand that this Waiver is in accordance with the Terms and Conditions I accepted on registration to the Event and is not intended to supersede those Terms and Conditions in any way. To the extent permitted by law, if any part of those Terms and Conditions is invalid, the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.
