Actionable insights with analytical rigour

We understand that identifying future outperformance is an artform, not a science. Our analysts go beyond the pure numbers to understand the people and structures behind each investment product, giving you the tools to select high quality fund managers for individual investment needs.

A robust framework adapted to a range of investment styles and structures

Our research process is based on a structured framework that considers a range of qualitative and quantitative factors that contribute to the value of an investment product, its performance, or the outcomes it generates for its members. Ultimately we don’t believe there is a single ‘best’ way to manage money, and therefore the research process we apply accommodates a range of investment approaches and styles.

Extensive peer review process

Along with extensive contact with the key investment professionals behind each product, our internal peer reviews are another pillar of our review process. Peer review meetings are held following the review of each sector or financial product and are open to all analysts within the Lonsec Research team. These meetings involve our senior analysts and sector leads to ensure that every review and rating is backed by the expertise of our entire team.
